Dispute resolution
In the National Capital Region (Canada) in-person alternative dispute resolution services including mediation and facilitation. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) empowers parties to a dispute or a conflict to work out their own settlement outside of court. Alternative dispute resolution enables the parties to articulate their interests and develop their own mutually acceptable solution.
When parties to a dispute or conflict negotiate their own settlement, they have greater ownership of the resolution and are more likely to abide by the agreement. Addressing disputes and conflicts reduces stress and improves the quality of the relationships of all concerned. In terms of workplace conflicts, successfully resolving a dispute or conflict to the mutual satisfaction of all concerned, can significantly boost productivity and employee morale.
The range of dispute resolution services includes single session or session-by-session facilitation or mediation. Each dispute or conflict is unique and the process used is tailored to meet the needs of the parties involved. The facilitation or mediation process is based on a principled approach to dispute and conflict resolution focusing on enabling interest-based communication between the parties. Pre-mediation sessions are conducted to allow each party to raise their concerns prior to process.
Tele-dispute resolution and facilitation services are also available. Meeting facilitation and group discussion services are also available.
Fees are charged on an hourly basis. The fee rate is charged for any work done related to the dispute resolution process, including pre-mediation, correspondence, case administration and any follow-up work.
In-person sessions are conducted at the clients' location. If this is not possible, a suitable location can be hired and the room rate will be charged to the clients.
Cancellations
If a party cancels within two weeks of a scheduled session, that party is responsible for paying any fees related to room bookings, travel, cancellation fees and other associated fees.
